How Inventino And Started Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookie Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. hot water
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 cups of Hershey’s chocolate chips
Directions
- Cream the butter with the white and brown sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla, beat with an electric mixer then scrape the bowl. Then add baking soda (dissolved in the hot water) and salt. Beat for about thirty second and scrape the bowl again. Add the flour and chocolate chips and beat for about two minutes.
- Grease your cookie sheets or baking trays and use a spoon to add small clumps of cookie dough onto the try. The dough clumps should not be large.
- Preheat your oven to 350 F. Bake the dough for about 8 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool on wire racks before storing them.
How to Bake Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ovens vary, so you will want to keep an eye on the dough while it bakes. Some like their cookies to be crispy and crunchy, in which case you should bake them for 10 minutes. In fact, many chocolate chip cookie recipes do call for 10 minutes baking time, but baking for just 8 minutes leads to much gooey satisfaction. In any case, you will know that the cookies are definitely done when they brown around the edges.
You’re not limited to just the chocolate chips when you bake these cookies. You can use walnuts, pecans and such and you can generally get creative with it. This recipe should yield at least 30 cookies, so you’ll want to have plastic containers on hand to keep them fresh.
