Chai Chocolate
Pumpkin bread is one of those autumn treats that seems to pop up in every cafe as soon as the air starts to feel chilly. This recipe is quick and easy, and is sure to impress your kids, spouse, co-workers, and even the most skeptical toddler.

Ideas To Pair This Treat With:
- For Tea Lovers: Try pairing a piece of pumpkin bread with a cup of chai tea and revel in the cozy combination of cinnamon, cloves and pumpkin. For an even heartier enhancement, add a splash of milk or cream to your chai tea or opt for a chai latte (chai tea plus steamed milk) if dining out. If you are impressing your guests, add a cinnamon stick for a stirrer or top your tea with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon for garnish.
- For Coffee and Espresso Addicts: Opt for french vanilla or hazlenut blends that compliment the pumpkin taste, but whose flavors won't battle the flavor of the pumpkin bread. If you prefer espresso drinks to cofee, try a cinnamon latte topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of allspice, apple pie spice or cinnamon.
- For A Bigger Breakfast: Fresh fruit is a great compliment to this treat as it provides some additional nutritional value to the meal while still making the combination a light breakfast. A sliced banana or some scoops of fresh melon are great pairings that aren't as sweet as other fruit such as strawberries or raspberries, if you are trying not to spare indulging your sweet tooth too much. Also try a small bowl of oatmeal with cinnamon, brown sugar and milk with your pumpkin bread and you are sure to start the day feeling energized, nourished and satisfied.
- For Dessert: This snack is sure to please the crowd when served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. For the chocoholics out there, try adding one cup of chocolate chips to the batter, or serving the pumpkin bread in small cubes atop a hot fudge sundae with walnuts.
